Antique Colt Single Action Army with Factory Letter and Case
The included factory letter lists this revolver as chambered in .45 caliber with blue finish, and barrel length and grips not listed when shipped to J. P. Moores Sons in New York, New York on April 5, 1876. The barrel and frame are hand marked "HPT". The grip has been fitted with two pearl inlays on either side (right side diamond absent). Visible numbers match. With a wooden display case and an Oklahoma Territory Deputy Marshal marked badge.

Barrel dated "1961" and marked "MADE BY - W.A. CARVER - LADOW JOHNSTON" and "FOR - A.F. RODDY" on the right and left top barrel flats respectively. Lock marked "CALVERTS". The beautifully figured stock is carved with floral motifs along with a shield with the initials "AFR" on the butt. With a wooden display case with an affixed plaque on the lid reading "William Buchele/LaDow Johnson/W.A. Carver".
