New Haven Arms Henry Lever Action Rifle

Manufactured circa 1860-1866 with this rifle being manufactured in 1865. Blade front and folding ladder rear sights. No makers marks are present on the barrel. The serial number is marked on the top barrel flat at the breech. The rifle has the distinctive brass receiver and buttplate, and octagon barrel with integral 15-shot magazine. The barrel/magazine have a blue finish, the hammer and loading lever casehardened. There is a sling loop on the left side of the barrel and sling swivel on the left side of the stock. The brass buttplate is the early pattern with rounded heel with a compartment containing a four piece cleaning rod. Some replacement screws.
