Manufactured c. 1914 with blued steel barrels with concave rib signed “WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD. 78. SHAFTESBURY AVENUE. LONDON & BIRMINGHAM.”. Casehardened action with blued toplever, casehardened rebounding back action locks each signed “WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD.”, and blued trigger guard. Border and scroll engraving throughout. Well-figured 14 1/2" straight hand stock with dark horn buttplate, checkered grip and forearm and blank silver oval initial escutcheon on the underside of the butt. Birmingham nitro proof and London nitro reproof marks, 2 1/2" chambers. Weight 4 lbs. 13 oz. Provenance: The Malcolm King Collection
