Receiver manufactured 1887, factory oval proofs on later replacement barrel and the receiver at breech, left of lower tang marked "179 356 XX 38" with "356" crossed out, replacement smooth hard rubber buttplate, blank silver escutcheon in right of buttstock.
Rating Definition:
Very good overall as professionally refinished (likely factory) with most of the blue finish, some scattered light spotting/handling marks, and wood showing some mild wear and minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
