Manufactured c. 1875-1889. Barrel has the Mexican liberty cam and sunburst in sunken hallmark along with the number "229." Cylinder and right side of frame are marked "RdeM." Approximately 1,000 of this model were purchased by the Mexican government. Right grip panel is stamped with the caliber designation "45." Grip frame and both grip panels are marked with the matching assembly number "492." With 1975 dated safety inspection certificate indicating revolver was owned by U.S. Navy Lt. Commander Arthur J. Fair overall with a gray patina, pitting throughout, couple small chips repaired at toes, high edge wear and handling marks on grips. Mechanically fine.
