Manufactured c. 1860-1863, upper tang inscribed "J.H. Fairfield/from his Employees. Oct. 21st 1863", barrel shortened, cleaning rod absent.

ConditionFair, with some refinished blue on the barrel, patches of mild pitting scattered throughout, and significant cracking and chipping in the wrist along with staining and minor handling marks on the wood. Mechanically fine.
