Early Production Winchester Model 1866 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine with Desirable S.A. Wade Texas Made Scabbard

Manufactured 1868, serial number on left of lower tang following "CC", saddle ring and staple are brass replacements. Includes a leather scabbard marked by maker S.A. Wade of Rosenberg, Texas with the additional stamped marking "F.D.SALMONS/RICHMOND TEX."

ConditionGood, with traces of refinished blue, some scattered light pitting, moderate polishing and minor dings on the brass, and some absent chips, cracks, and dings on the sanded, refinished wood. Mechanically functions apart from absent firing pin components. The scabbard is fine.
