Unusual Engraved Sheriff's Model Colt Model 1877 Lightning Double Action Revolver with "1849 Pocket Grip Frame" and Pearl Grips

This very distinctive revolver dates to 1904 and features an unusual Model 1849 Pocket style grip profile but in a smaller size, pearl grips, and engraving on the cylinder, butt, and trigger guard; and knurling on the grip straps. Provenance: The Charles Marx Collection

ConditionFine with most of the period refinished blue remaining, some gray and brown patina, light oxidation/pitting, and fairly mild overall wear. The trigger return is a bit weak, but the revolver otherwise functions.
