These pistols were manufactured between 1955 and 1962 and had a very futuristic, space age design that utilized a cast aluminum frame in lieu of the standard steel frames of the day. It is a straight blow-back design that uses a round bolt inside the upper part of the frame with exposed cocking knobs on the rear of the frame with an exposed hammer. It is fitted with fixed front and rear sights and checkered white plastic grips. The left side of the frame is marked "WHITNEY", and the right side is marked with the address markings. Includes a Whitney box featuring an end label numbered to the gun.

Exceptionally fine, all of the professional custom bright polished finish remaining with limited handling marks and crisp checkering on the excellent grips. Mechanically excellent. Box is fine. A very attractive and increasingly collectible Whitney Wolverine!
