J.C. Benjamin M60 Belt Fed General Purpose Machine Gun in "E4/Mk43" Configuration, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun

Manufactured using a receiver box made by Jonathan Benjamin of Portland, Oregon, with a combination of commercial and military surplus components, this is a fully transferable belt fed machine gun outfitted in the style of the U.S M60E4/Mark 43 General Purpose Machine Gun; consignor statements attribute the work to Desert Ordnance. Originally developed in the 1950s based on lessons learned during World War II, the M60 was the intended as the replacement for both the tripod-mounted Model 1919 and the shoulder-fired 1918 Browning Automatic Rifle, and would be a go-to weapon for the U.S. armed forces in a variety of roles for decades, and while some roles have been filled by other weapons it remains in with numerous operators worldwide. Blade front and folding peep rear sights, with a birdcage flash hider, adjustable gas port and folding carry handle on the barrel, folding bipod and combination forearm and pistol grip on the gas cylinder, Portland address on left side of the receiver, checkered pistol grip with right handed safety switch, and a textured buttplate with flip-up shoulder rest.

ConditionExcellent, with 95% plus original matte black phosphate finish, showing minor handling marks on the metal and furniture. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
