This is a very late Third Model version with a round 23 inch barrel chambered for the .22 long cartridge and features a receiver assembly and buttplate that are nickel plated with the remaining metal blued. Blade front sight with adjustable rear sight. 3/4 length magazine tube. Twelve groove forearm and straight grip stock with metal crescent buttplate.

Replated receiver (possibly in the period) with mostly original finish remaining on the partially refinished barrel with scattered light scratches and scuffs, and some stains on the finish that appear to be congealed oil. The wood is very fine with scattered dings, scuffs, and scratches. The action is excellent.
