Description:

Each figure is carved from 2 pieces of imitation ivory; one for the octagonal base, which has a floral design on the front and matching signature on the bottom, and another for the main piece, carved with black ink accents. With a pair of non-matching shipping boxes. 1) 11 3/4 inch tall figure of an Asian man wearing a pointed and crested cap, a robe with cloud designs on the mantle and woven pattern overall, and a sheather straight sword with carved through tassel. 2) 11 inch figure of an Asian woman, wearing a robe similar to the man's, wielding a pair of short swords.

Rating Definition:

Both are excellent, with attractive detail and grain. Some of the black ink has been lost, and a few tiny age cracks are visible overall.
