The barrel marking of "REMINGTON'S ILION, N.Y./PATENT OCT. 1, 1861" (faint) is outlined in a line border flanked by dot pattern engraving. Floral and geometric engraving is featured on the back strap. Matching numbers on the barrel and frame under the left grip. Fitted with smooth rosewood grips. In a contemporary leatherette case lined with green velvet.
