Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle

Manufactured 1894. The top of the barrel is stamped with the two line address ahead of the rear sight and "44 W.C.F." at the breech The upper tang has the three line model/patent date marking. German silver blade front sight and adjustable buckhorn rear sight with full length magazine tube. Mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.

ConditionFine. The barrel and magazine tube retain 30% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The frame retains 40% original blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the balance. The lever and hammer retain traces of faded original case colors mixed with a smooth gray patina. The buttplate has a silver-gray patina. The revarnished wood is very good with some minor dings and dents. The markings are clear. Mechanically fine.
