Antique Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle in Desirable 38-55 WCF Caliber

Manufactured 1898. Full length magazine tube, brass blade front sight and elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight. The top of the barrel has the two line address marking and "38-55". The upper tang is fitted with a short range peep sight. Nicely figured straight grain walnut forearm with a steel forend cap and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

ConditionFine. The rifle retains 30% plus thin original blue finish with a smooth brown and plum patina on the balance. The casehardened parts have a smooth mottled gray patina. The reoiled wood is very good as refinished showing some minor handling marks. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
