The upper tang is marked with the three-line, model, maker, 1884 patent date and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver. Dovetailed blade front sight with an ivory bead, adjustable rear buck horn sight, blue finish with casehardened hammer, lever, forend cap and buttplate. Mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with a steel forend cap and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.
