The rifle was received in the warehouse on April 15, 1897 and shipped on June 22, 1897 with 35 other arms to order number 10191. The barrel has a blade front sight and an elevation adjustable rear sight and is marked with the two- line address ahead of the rear sight and "30 W.C.F." at the breech. The upper tang is marked with the three- line Model 1894 patent marking. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with forend cap, leather sling and crescent buttplate.
