Manufactured in 1926. Contoured side frame with the saddle ring and stud mounted on the left side. The left side of the receiver is marked with the standard two line address/patent dates and the top of the receiver ring is marked with the Winchester oval proof over ".30/GOV./06." and the upper tang is marked with the model/patent information. Ramped blade front sight, two folding leaf rear sight and a receiver mounted peep sight. Smooth military style forearm with grasping groove and matching handguard secured by a barrel band and straight grip stock with a steel carbine buttplate with compartment (pull though bore cleaner not included).

Very good. The barrel retains 30% original blue finish with a smooth plum/brown patina on the balance. The receiver has a smooth mottled brown patina with strong original blue finish in the protected area of the receiver sight. The magazine is a mix of thin original blue finish and smooth brown patina. The lever and buttplate have a smooth grayish brown patina. The wood has been freshened with a coat of varnish and remains very good with two minor cracks on the top rear of the hand guard and overall some minor dents and dings. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
