Antique Winchester Model 1894 Lever-Action 38-55 Rifle

Manufactured in 1898 with a full length tube magazine, dovetailed front and adjustable rear sights, smooth steel tipped forend and straight grip buttstock with crescent buttplate. The top barrel flat has the two line Winchester address and caliber markings. The upper tang has "MODEL 1894/-WINCHESTER-/PAT. AUG. 21. 1894" and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame.

ConditionGood. The rifle retains traces of faded original blue finish with some high edge wear and the exposed surfaces featuring a brown patina. Most of the remaining finish is found on the full length tube magazine which retains nearly all the blue finish while the barrel has a mostly brown patina with some traces of finish.The forend cap, bottom of the frame, and the buttplate have a smooth aged gray patina The refinished wood is also good with some scattered minor dings and scratches. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is fine.
