Manufactured in 1915. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the caliber designation with the address and patent date in two lines between the barrel band and the rear sight. The top of the barrel and receiver are marked with the Winchester oval proof at the breech. The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG.IN U.S.PAT.OFF." and the serial number is on the bottom of the receiver. It features a blade front sight with folding rear sight graduated to "20", full length magazine, saddle ring on the left side rear of the receiver, and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a steel carbine buttplate.
