Rare Special Order Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle

Manufactured in 1907 with half length button magazine with full octagon barrel (seldom seen configuration). Equipped with a blade front and a buckhorn rear sights. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address/patent markings ahead of the rear sight. The Winchester factory proofs are marked on the top barrel flat and receiver at the breech behind the caliber marking "25-20 W.C.F." The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK". The serial number is on the underside of the receiver. Casehardened lever and checkered hammer. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with casehardened forend cap and smooth crescent buttplate.

ConditionExcellent with 90% plus of the original blue finish and slight pin point spotting on the receiver. The casehardened components retain 75% of the original case colors with some minor brown specking overall. The wood is also excellent with some scattered scratches and pressure dents. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
