Desirable Antique Winchester Deluxe Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle

This rifle was manufactured in 1896 and has a Beach combination front sight, Winchester three leaf express rear sight, fancy grade checkered forearm and semi-pistol grip stock with Winchester hard rubber grip cap and casehardened rifle buttplate, casehardened hammer and lever, the two-line barrel address on top, two-line nickel steel marking on the upper left, the caliber designation on top at the breech, serial number on the bottom of the action, and "MODEL 1894/-WINCHESTER/PAT. AUG. 21. 1894." on the upper tang.

ConditionVery good. The rifle retains 30% of the original blue finish and has areas faded to brown and gray patina, several light scratches, some light spotting, and patches of mild pitting. The lever and hammer retains about 50% of the original case colors. The re-oiled wood is very good and has crisp checkering, attractive burl figure, minor dings, and light scratches. The action is excellent, and the markings are sharp.
