The left side of the barrel has the Winchester model/trademark/nickel steel legend followed by "30 W.C.F.", and the right side has the two-line address with the factory proofs on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The upper tang has the three-line manufacturer/trademark information, and the underside of the frame has the serial number. Half magazine with the takedown latch, Lyman beaded blade front and an adjustable sporting type rear sights. Smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with steel forend cap and serrated steel buttplate.
