A Crete-vintage jump smock altered from the "step in" style to the button leg style. Overall construction is a green/yellow 4-ply twill, with a tightly stitched Luftwaffe eagle on the right breast, 3 collar snaps at the top, 3 metal buttons down the front, and four front pockets with "RAPID" zippers and leather tabs. On the rear are a small equipment loop on the left and a flare gun holster on the right, with a set of snaps around the bottom to form the legs. On the interior, the pockets and the reinforcement for the flare gun holster are dark blue-gray twill, with the latter marked "844" with a red pencil and "A" in red on the left leg. Additionally, the right breast is stamped "L.B.A.39" in an area hidden when buttoned, and hidden deep in the upper left pocket is a Berlin makers mark (appears to be "Ernst Rihn"). The early bandolier is constructed from dark blue-gray cloth, with a repeating number "00165" in black ink on multiple parts.
