J. Stevens & Co. Tip-Up Rifle with Malcolm Scope

Manufactured in the 1870s-1886 with the standard markings and equipped with a Wm. Malcolm scope, forearm tang peep sight, and Swiss buttplate.

ConditionVery good overall with a blend of 25% original blue finish and gray-brown patina on the barrel, 90% original blue finish with the balance aged to plum brown on the scope tube, clear optics, 60% of the dull nickel plating with spots of gray patina, some pitting concentrated on the trigger guard and lower tang. The wood has a strong glossy finish, some minor scratches, and scattered dings. Mechanically fine.
