Originally manufactured in 1906 and subsequently embellished by renowned Master Engraver Alvin White. White has signed his masterpiece in a rectangular gold inlaid hallmark on the underside of the frame below the gold inlaid serial number. The left side of the frame has also been signed by White. The receiver features engraved scrollwork and borders along with a gold inlaid mountain lion inside an oval panel scene on the left side and gold script initials on the right side. Engraved scrollwork extends to the bolt, takedown collar, buttplate tang, forend cap and breech end of the barrel. The scrollwork is very similar to the pattern used by Winchester. The serial number on the underside of the frame is inlaid in gold. The barrel has dovetail blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights and is marked with the two-line address/patent marking ahead of the rear sight, "30 WCF" at the breech and the two-line nickel steel marking on the upper left flat. The upper tang has the three-line model/trade mark information. The highly figured stock features fine checkering accented with floral scroll relief carvings.
