The barrel has dovetailed blade front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights and is marked with the two-line address/patent information followed by the "nickel steel" markings and "38-55" on the left. The Winchester factory oval proofs are stamped on the barrel and receiver at the breech. The upper tang has the three-line model/trade mark information and the serial number is on the bottom of the receiver. Smooth forearm straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.
