Manufactured in 1896 with special order features: half octagon barrel and half magazine. Fitted with a Marble Sheard blade front sight, filler block in the rear sight dovetail slot, and tang peep sight. The top barrel flat marked with the two-line address/patent dates information and "30 WCF," and the upper left barrel flat has the two-line nickel steel information.

Very good. The rifle retains 20% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. Traces of original niter blue remain on the loading gate. The wood is fair with extensive chipping visible along the grain, a couple hairline cracks near the upper tang, and some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
