Scarce Original Israeli IMI Fully Automatic Class III/NFA “SALES SAMPLE” Uzi Submachine Gun

This is an example of an IMI manufactured fully automatic Uzi submachine gun. This was one of the most famous submachine guns. The Uzi was officially adopted in 1951 and first introduced to the IDF Special Forces in 1954. Though the weapon was phased out of front line IDF service in the 1980s, some Uzis and Uzi variants were still used by a few IDF units until December 2003. These were so successful and highly regarded that they were even used by the U.S. Secret Service from the 1960s to 1990s. This is the standard version with the folding stamped steel stock that has an overall length of approximately 17 inches when folded and 26 when extended. The rear of the receiver is correctly marked "S.M.G. UZI/070449/IMI". The left side of the receiver is also roll marked "INTERARMS ALEXANDRIA VIRGINIA". It is fitted with the standard grooved, black plastic grip panels and black plastic short forend. It has an original fully automatic lower trigger housing with the "A" (Auto), "R" (repeat/semi) and "S" (safe) markings. This very desirable fully automatic submachine gun comes with one 32 round magazine and a green canvas sling.

ConditionVery fine with 99% of the gray parkerized finish overall showing only very minor edge/handling wear. The black plastic components are also in like new condition. This is about the nicest IMI Uzi SMG that we have seen in a long time. NOTE: This weapon is a restricted, National Firearms Act (NFA) Class 3, Fully Automatic Weapon, that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478. This weapon is currently registered as being "LIMITED TO USE AS A SALES SAMPLE (Pre-86)" and as such can only be purchased by an FFL, with a Class 2 or Class 3 SOT License.
