Exceptional Documented First Year Production Ulrich Factory Engraved Winchester Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Shotgun Featured in "Winchester Engraving"

This Winchester Model 1911 Shotgun is pictured and identified by serial number on page 319 of R.L. Wilson's "Winchester Engraving". The photo caption also identifies the engraver as simply "Ulrich" though given the year of manufacture, it can be safely assumed to be John Ulrich. Blue nickel steel barrel with beaded blade type front sight, standard markings, matted sighting plain, 2 3/4 inch chamber, "FULL" marked choke, and matching Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and receiver. The receiver is engraved with borders of fine scroll surrounding detailed game scenes in the -5 pattern featuring ducks in flight over a pond on the right, and two dogs flushing quail on the left. Checkered walnut, three-piece straight grip stock and semi-beavertail forearm with black diamond inlays on either side of the stock wrist, and vented Pachmayr recoil pad. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 5/8 inches; drop at heel 2 3/4 inches; length of pull 14 3/4 inches.

ConditionExceptionally fine with 98% bright original high polish blue finish, some bright barrel retraction marks ahead of the forearm, small surface scratches, and light edge wear on the receiver. The wood is fine with numerous small dings, sharp checkering, and the added recoil pad. Mechanically excellent.
