Originally manufactured as a close, but semi-automatic, copy of Steyr's "Universal Army Rifle", this AUG/SA has been upgraded with a Qualified Manufacturing auto sear, allowing trigger-controlled selective fire; a short press produces single shots, a dedicated squeeze gives full automatic fire. One of the signature firearms of the 1980s, the AUG was a successful early "bullpup" pattern rifle, with it's compact size earning it numerous foreign military contracts and it's distinctive and then-futuristic profile earning it a place in numerous Hollywood productions. Fixed backup sights are installed on the carrying handle scope, with Gun South import marks on the quick-detach barrel, birdcage flash hider, folding front grip, and a rubberized buttplate.

Registered with the BATFE as a "Machine Gun Sear" prior to the 1986 cutoff, listed for calibers 9mm and 223. The sear itself has a casehardened appearance, with scribed markings, and is installed in a green plastic AUG hammer pack.
