Designed by Friedrich Pfannl of Austria, the Kolibri and its cartridge, the 2.7mm Kolibri, are credited as the smallest centerfire pistol and centerfire cartridge to see production, with the pistol easily fitting in the palm and measuring less than 3 inches long. Manufactured with a notched groove sight on top of the slide, about 80% of the overall surface is engraved with a fine scroll engraving, and both grip panels are silver plated with raised "FP" imprints on both sides and "KOLIBRI" on the right panel. The pistol comes with a French fitted case with a silver foil exterior and green felt interior, which also contains a box of four inert Kolibri rounds.
