Having started life as a uniformed police unit that worked under Goering in his pre-Luftwaffe days, the namesake unit of Hermann Goering went through a series of evolutions, starting as just a regiment and ending the war as the 1st Fallschirm-Panzerdivision, and held a reputation as the Luftwaffe's top ground combat formation. This set of items would be appropriate for a 'flieger' (comparable to the USAF's Airman) in the unit. The set includes two cuff titles, two shoulder boards (plain Luftwaffe gray with white trim), a close-trimmed Luftwaffe eagle patch on similar cloth, and a pair of white collar tabs with red waffenfarbe piping and single metal "bird" emblems. One cuff title is embroidered "General Goring" in white script on a blue background), while the other is block lettered "HERMANN GORING" on twill cloth, with an included note attributing it as being Dutch in origin.
