Cased London Retailer Marked Colt New Line .41 Etched Panel Spur Trigger Revolver

Manufactured in 1877 with standard features, the two-line address on top of the barrel, "COLT NEW 41" in an etched panel on the left, "E.M. REILLY & Co/502 NEW OXFORD ST. LONDON" retailer engraved on the right, and the patent marking and serial number on the bottom. The caliber marking is on the left of the frame and the matching serial number is on the left of the grip frame under the grip. Includes a leather wrapped semi-hard case with E.M. Reilly interior trade label, oiler, turnscrew, cleaning rod, and five .41 CF cartridges.

ConditionFine, retains 70% of the bright original high polish blue and 60% vivid casehardened finishes with the balance having mostly thinned to a smooth grey patina with some scattered patches of minor pitting, primarily on the right of the barrel, top of the frame, and back strap. The age darkened grips are also fine with a few scattered light handling marks and light wear. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with some mild wear and corner separation.
