Manufactured in 1970-1980. Converted by gunsmith Charles Kelsey, the Devel "Full-House" conversion features recessed front sight with red insert, adjustable rear sight, fluted slide, shortened grip, shortened frame, 3 1/2 inch barrel with polished feed ramp and chamber, Devel barrel bushing installed to improve accuracy, Wolff springs throughout, relieved trigger guard area with finger hook, bobbed hammer, flat plastic grips with cartridge counting windows and "DEVEL" logos, and finger rest magazine floor plate. This example has the optional dull hard chrome finish. This Model 59 Devel conversion is numbered "227" to the right of the original serial number. Includes a letter from Devel pertaining to the modification of pistols, a Devel order sheet for the pistol, leather magazine carrier, and two extra magazines.
