William Nicholson was located at No. 45 Cornhill, London, c. 1787-1791 and appears to have sold a variety of multi-shot boxlock pistols. This pistol has three barrels with false rifling, London proof and view marks, a rotating pan, sliding safety that engages the frizzen, a folding "snap bayonet" released by pulling the trigger guard back, "Nicholson/CORN-HILL" in an oval on the left, "London" on the right, flags and floral engraving, and smooth grip with a plain silver escutcheon.
