The casehardened, side clipped, scalloped boxlock action displays carved fences, near full coverage floral scroll engraving, "J. P. SAUER & SON" on either side, a gold inlaid pheasant in flight on the left, and a gold inlaid setter on the right. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fitting, Deeley latch release, and ebony tip inlay and straight grip stock with "JHT" marked inscription oval and serrated buttplate.
