Outstanding U.S. Starr Model 1863 Single Action Percussion Revolver Rig with Holster Belt, Bullet Mold, and Cartridge Pack

The Starr Arms Co. Model 1863 Army revolver was one of the most widely issued revolvers of the American Civil War alongside the Colt Model 1860 Army and the Remington New Model Army. Most show signs of significant use, but this revolver from c. 1864 remains in exceptional condition. It has the standard Starr markings along with U.S. Ordnance inspection marks and "GWC" (George W. Chapman) and "STB" (Samuel T. Bugbee) cartouches. It is accompanied by a U.S. Model 1854 saber belt, a black leather flap holster, J. Davy & Co. cartridge box, J.B. Sickles & Co. cap box, cartridge pack, and Starr revolver .44 caliber conical bullet mold. Provenance: The Greg Lampe Collection

ConditionExcellent. 95% plus of the original blue finish remains. 95% plus of the vibrant original case colors remain on the loading lever and hammer. The grip is also excellent and has crisp, legible cartouches with crisp first and last letters, minor handling marks, a few scratches, and smooth oiled finish. Mechanically excellent. The accessories are all very fine and have mostly mild age and storage related wear. This is certainly one of the finest Starr Model 1863 Army revolvers extant and will be near impossible to improve upon.
