Manufactured by J. Lowe, almost certainly around the mid-19th century in Sheffield, England. It measures 16 3/8 inches overall with a 9 7/8 inch blade featuring a long, deep clip point. The left side of the blade is marked "THE GREAT FAR WEST HUNTING KNIFE" and "BEST QUALITY", both in banners near an eagle, and a stag marked "HARY AWAY" followed by a pack of dogs and a hunter on horseback with a rifle. The left ricasso is marked with an elephant trademark over "J. LOWE". It has a German silver oval guard and ferrule with floral motifs, a lightly fluted box-shaped pearl grip, and a bulbous German silver pommel featuring a deer scene on each side and floral motifs.
