Manufactured by Ithaca for the United States Air Force as a survival weapon, this is the original version with the 14 inch barrels, that has been correctly registered with the BATFE as an "AOW", (Any Other Weapon). Marked on the left side of the receiver "U.S.A.F. PROPERTY/138032/ RIFLE-SHOTGUN. SURVIVAL/CAL. .22/410, M6". The right side is marked "ITHACA GUN CO. INC. ITHACA N.Y.", with the crossed cannon ordnance stamp and "PA". Markings for Three Dog Gunsmithing have been added to the underside. These rifles have a break open action with a fixed front and two-position flip rear sight. It has a squeeze type trigger with a stamped, skeletonized stock with a cartridge block located inside the stock. The comb area lifts up to show that the spare cartridge block holds nine .22 rifle cartridges and four .410 shotgun shells. A green paracord wrap has been applied to the barrels, with a light camouflage pattern paracord sling; consignor statements describe this as an "in theater" modification.

Fine, with 90% of the refinished green paint finish, showing areas of flaking and wear, along with some denting of the buttstock and cartridge box. The cord shows minor wear and staining. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is registered as a National Firearms Act (NFA), AOW (Any Other Weapon). Although NOT a fully automatic weapon it is still controlled like a NFA weapon that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
